Born in Trieste, the daughter of a businessman, Franco wonnnthe third edition of the Miss Italia beauty contest held in 1948 in Stresa. Asnna part of the contest that provided for the winner a role in a movie soon to bennrealized with Totò, a member of the jury, Franco appeared in a bib part in Totònnal giro d'Italia.
